PROCOST is a specialized software solution developed by EPCPROMAN for cost estimation, budgeting, and control in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. It enables project teams to manage cost structures, monitor budgets, and track actual expenditures against forecasts. With CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure)-based planning and integration with other EPCPROMAN modules, PROCOST ensures accurate cost tracking and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Features

Estimate: Evaluate work order costs

  • Estimate project cost for various project heads (WBS), disciplines, and related activities using cost codes and bill of quantities.
  • Perform costing for items such as manpower, material, machinery, transportation, etc., by referencing historical bids and billed prices.
  • Apply profit margin percentages and/or lump sum values from the profit margin master to estimating items.
  • Generate multiple versions of evaluation reports for inter-discipline approvals.
  • Save estimated template as a master template for future similar work orders.

Expenditure: Measure work order completion costs

  • Perform periodic budgeting (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually) for project heads (WBS), disciplines, and related activities, including gross and net values.
  • Record periodic expenditure (e.g., weekly, monthly) incurred on project heads, disciplines, and related activities.
  • Monitor financial progress using cost measures:
    • Cumulative expenditures up to previous financial year and overall
    • Budget estimate & expenditure for financial year, up to current month, and for current month
    • Shortfall and surplus with reasons

Cashflow: Forecast and measure business cashflow

  • Cash inflows: Debited from sources such as debtors, interest on loans, investments, etc.
  • Cash outflows: Credited to business and project heads such as sales of goods/services, wages, etc.
  • Forecast cash inflows and outflows using alerts.

Enhanced Visibility and Control

  • Monitor cost dashboard KPIs with drill-down analytics: Overall, Business Division wise Cost Performance, Project CAPEX, Overall Financial Progress, FY wise Financial Progress, Overall Expenditure Curves, Periodic (e.g. Weekly, monthly) MIS and Cashflows.
