It offers built-in support for DRM, timed metadata (SCTE-35), and multi-channel audio and accessibility features like captions and subtitles. As a software plugin for industry-standard webservers such as Apache and Nginx, Unified Origin allows a webserver to ingest one format (MP4, fragmented MP4, or HLS for VOD). Then it'll package it on-the-fly to all formats, including HbbTV, Progressive, and CMAF. Unified Origin supports all the major DRM systems (Adobe Access, FairPlay, Marlin, PlayReady, and Widevine). Also compatible: AVC, HEVC, HDR, and Dolby Vision.
