EditShare’s Ultimate EFS Series is a media-aware, NVMe-based shared storage platform engineered for demanding media production and post workflows. It delivers real-time playback, high stream counts for 4K/8K and uncompressed formats, and enterprise-grade availability using a minimum three-node HA deployment. The series scales from large single-node capacities (over half a petabyte per node on some models) to multi-petabyte namespaces with centralized metadata control and integration into EditShare’s FLOW media management and FLEX cloud ecosystem. Designed for collaborative editing, ingest and archive workflows, the Ultimate EFS line balances extreme throughput, media-optimized data services, and operational resilience for broadcast, finishing and VFX facilities.

• Scalability & Capacity: The platform supports very large raw capacities per node (over 0.5PB in some nodes) and linear scaling across a single namespace to many petabytes, enabling growth without disrupting workflows.

• NVMe Performance: NVMe-based nodes deliver extremely high throughput (designed for multi-GB/s performance) and high concurrent stream counts suitable for uncompressed 4K/8K, VFX and DI finishing workloads.
• Media-aware File System: EFS understands media workflows (project/bin locking, metadata handling), reducing edit conflicts and enabling multiple editors to work simultaneously on the same projects.
• Integrated Workflow Tools: Works with EditShare FLOW for capture/ingest, logging, search, review/approval, automation, and AI features (face recognition, keywording) — enabling end-to-end media pipeline integration.
• Hybrid & Multi-Site: Supports distributed and hybrid deployments (on-prem and cloud integration via FLEX and sync tools), enabling remote editing and multi-site collaboration.
• Metadata & MDC: Dedicated metadata controller nodes (Ultimate MDC) to handle large-scale metadata operations quickly and reliably for large collaborative teams.
