Overview

Torx Make is the module of the Torx DMTA platform focused on planning, tracking and managing synthesis work across internal teams and contract research organisations (CROs). It provides a chemistry-aware, web-based Kanban workspace that visualises synthesis status, owners, priorities and dates so teams can schedule tasks, allocate resources, request tests and keep a single, auditable record of compound progress. Torx as a whole is a cloud-native Design–Make–Test–Analyze platform born from the collaboration between Cresset and Elixir and is designed to centralize project data and scientific context for small-molecule discovery teams.

Features and Capabilities

  • Collaboration & CRO integration: Torx Make enables secure, role-based sharing with CROs and external partners to exchange synthesis requests and status in real time, reducing email/attachment friction and improving traceability.
  • Kanban project board: The core UI is a feature-rich Kanban that visualises each compound’s synthesis lifecycle — owners, priorities, status columns and planned dates — helping teams see project-level progress at a glance.
  • Chemistry-aware data model: Torx stores molecule and chemistry metadata alongside project tasks so decisions and scheduling are made with chemical context (structures, identifiers, synthesis records).
  • Synthesis scheduling & resource allocation: Create and manage synthesis requests, assign chemists or CROs, set priorities and due dates, and balance workloads across projects to better utilise lab and external resources.
  • Traceability & audit: Centralized records of synthesis requests, status changes and communications provide an auditable trail for reproducibility and regulatory or CRO-reporting needs.
  • Modular DMTA integration: Torx Make is a stand-alone module but part of the Torx DMTA suite, enabling upstream design and downstream test workflows to connect, register new compounds and pass information across the DMTA cycle.
  • Notifications & task management: Built-in notifications and change tracking ensure stakeholders know when synthesis milestones are reached or when actions are required.
  • Configurable permissions: Role-based access and sharing controls let organizations manage who can see or edit chemistry, project details or CRO-facing information.
  • Integrations & export: Torx is positioned to integrate with external registries and data platforms to streamline compound registration and downstream analytics.
