Overview

Torx is a chemistry-aware, web-based DMTA (Design–Make–Test–Analyze) platform created through the collaboration of Cresset and Elixir. It centralizes project data and scientific context to help medicinal chemistry teams design molecules, manage synthesis workflows, schedule assays, and analyze results — all with secure collaboration across internal teams and CRO partners. Torx is modular (Design, Make, Test, Analyze), cloud-native, and built to improve decision-making speed and traceability across the small-molecule discovery cycle.

Features and Capabilities

  • Design: Torx Design provides a chemistry-aware environment for sketching, comparing, and annotating molecules, integrating 3D pose and property data so teams can evaluate and prioritize design hypotheses quickly.
  • Make (synthesis tracking): Torx Make offers a Kanban-style tracking system to manage synthesis projects across internal labs and CRO partners, including status tracking, resource allocation, and synthetic route information.
  • Test (assay scheduling): Torx Test connects chemists with assay teams to automate test scheduling, track sample submissions, and capture test results back into the project record for rapid feedback.
  • Analyze: Torx Analyze aggregates assay and profiling data with design context so teams can analyze outcomes, derive SAR insights, and prioritize next steps.
  • Collaboration & permissions: Fine-grained permissions and privacy controls enable secure sharing of molecular hypotheses, routes, and results with external collaborators while protecting sensitive data.
  • Integration-ready: Torx supports integrations with third-party informatics (for example, compound registration and data stores) to automate handoffs and data registration within DMTA workflows.
  • Live shared sessions & review: Real-time shared sessions and review workflows let teams co-edit, review, and converge on design sets, improving decision quality and capture of rationale.
  • Traceability & audit: Centralized project records provide traceability from idea through synthesis and testing, supporting reproducibility and auditability of discovery work.
  • Cloud-native scalability: The platform is offered cloud-first (modular), allowing organizations to deploy modules individually or combined to match their DMTA needs.
