Service Watch Browser is a browser add-on designed for real user monitoring (RUM) of SaaS and web applications. Its primary purpose is to help Information Technology leaders proactively detect and diagnose performance problems, errors, and outages, thereby ensuring optimal application delivery and employee satisfaction, especially for the "Work From Anywhere" digital employee. The software allows IT teams to diagnose slow SaaS applications, identify issues with providers, ISPs, Wi-Fi, and proxies, regardless of the user's location—be it a home office, branch office, headquarters, or on the road. Key functionalities include comprehensive Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) for critical applications, URLs, and domains. It captures vital metrics such as response times, page load times, latency, and browser metrics across various components like servers, SSO, SASE, Wi-Fi, and VPNs. The platform provides real-time dashboards and scorecards that highlight network, server, or client issues, offering trending insights and allowing filtering by user, group, URL, and domain to pinpoint specific problems. Service Watch Browser is particularly adept at monitoring complex SaaS applications and Single-Page Applications (SPAs) like Microsoft Outlook Web Access, Gmail, and Salesforce Lightning, which have unique performance analysis requirements due to their heavy use of JavaScript and background requests. Unlike legacy RUM solutions, it requires no script injection into SaaS apps, making deployment straightforward and quick. It also offers enhanced visibility into modern SaaS applications by monitoring background requests and executions to detect slowdowns even after initial navigation. Furthermore, the solution captures all web traffic requests for SPAs, aggregates them for performance analysis, and provides hop-by-hop network inspection data to identify the slowest network nodes and root causes of end-user slowdowns. For total visibility, Service Watch Browser can be combined with Service Watch Desktop and correlated with Synthetic Transaction Monitoring for proactive outage detection and capacity planning.
