SDC for Femap is a specialized structural verification software designed to seamlessly integrate with Simcenter Femap, working directly with existing .modfem models without requiring a new build for verification. It provides a robust, built-in engineering standards library, allowing users to easily perform critical structural analyses such as fatigue, buckling, weld, bolt, and custom design checks, all in compliance with various industry codes and regulations. A key capability is its specially designed Recognition tools, which automatically detect structural elements like welds, beams, plates, and connections (joints) within existing Femap models, streamlining the verification process. The software also features an Optimization module, empowering engineers to make informed design decisions by optimizing parameters such as cross-section, weld type, yield stress, and plate thickness based on code check results. For documentation, SDC for Femap offers comprehensive, template-based reports that present all calculated results through plots and tables. These reports can be regenerated with a single click, ensuring efficiency and accuracy even after calculation process changes, making them suitable for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) workflows. Additionally, an Open API is available for advanced project automation.
