Renga Ventilation is a component of the Renga BIM system designed for the architectural, structural, and MEP engineering of buildings. It enables engineers to create consistent, coordinated, and complete information models of ventilation systems, significantly saving time on routine tasks such as routing supply and exhaust duct systems, populating building models with engineering data, and generating drawings. The software supports collaborative design by allowing architects, designers, and MEP engineers to work simultaneously in a common design environment, ensuring all project stakeholders access up-to-date model data. Engineers can create ventilation systems either by receiving existing 3D building models or by creating a 3D model from 2D drawings, using the latter as an underlay. The system facilitates engineering analysis and air flow calculations by providing access to required object data on spaces, enclosing structures, materials, and equipment layout. It includes tools for creating new equipment libraries and importing 3D objects, with interoperability via IFC, STEP, IGES, C3D, SAT, and other formats. The Automatic Routing tool simplifies ductwork design based on control points, while the System Builder mode allows for precise routing with offsets from floors and walls, and simultaneous routing of supply and exhaust ducts. Renga Ventilation considers architectural elements like walls and openings during design, reducing discrepancies between architectural, structural, and MEP models. It supports automatic calculations and estimate creation through partner analysis packages and features automatic recalculation of schedules for heating system elements. The built-in Drawing Editor allows for the creation of project documentation in accordance with SPDS and ISO standards, with automated generation of plans and axonometric projections from the 3D model. Worksharing in Renga ensures all team members can track changes, validate data from other software via IFC or DWG/DXF export, and exchange change requests through data management systems.
