Renga Electrical is a component of the Renga BIM system designed for the architectural, structural design, and MEP engineering of buildings. It allows engineers to create consistent, coordinated, and complete information models of electrical power systems. The toolset is engineered to save time for engineers by automating routine tasks such as creating power and lighting circuits, populating building models with engineering data, and generating drawings. Renga facilitates team collaboration by enabling architects, designers, and MEP engineers to work simultaneously in a common design environment, ensuring all project stakeholders access up-to-date model data. Engineers can also receive 2D drawings from architects or structural engineers to create 3D models, using the 2D drawings as an underlay. The system supports load calculations by providing access to information models and object data, enabling engineering analysis. It also includes tools for creating equipment layout plans and allows for the import of 3D objects, interacting with other software via IFC and other formats like STEP, IGES, C3D, SAT. The Automatic Routing tool assists in designing ventilation systems based on engineer-placed control points, and the System Builder mode allows for simultaneous routing of supply and exhaust duct systems. Renga enhances spatial design by considering architectural elements and offers automatic calculations and recalculations of schedules, with the Drawing Editor facilitating the creation of project documentation in accordance with international standards. Worksharing features allow project team members to track changes and validate documentation by exporting data to open file formats.
