Overview

CenTrak’s Differential Air Pressure (DAP) solution provides continuous, wireless monitoring of room pressure differentials for healthcare environments such as isolation rooms, operating rooms, sterile processing areas, and pharmacies. The system uses clinical-grade LCD sensors and enterprise software to deliver real-time alerts (visual, audible, SMS, email), automated compliance reporting, and NIST-traceable calibration—enabling rapid corrective action and reducing manual charting.

Features and Capabilities

  • Differential Air Pressure Sensors: Dual-port pressure sensors measure pressure between adjoining areas with built-in LCD for immediate local reading and alarm status, configurable measurement intervals, and long battery life.
  • Real-Time Alerting: Alerts trigger on sensor thresholds, probe disconnects, and low battery; notifications are configurable by escalation path and sent via SMS/MMS, email, phone, and local alarms or strobes.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Reporting: Auto-generated audit logs and compliance reports support Joint Commission, state health boards, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, reducing manual documentation burdens.
  • Local Display & On-device Controls: Sensors include local LCD readouts and alarm settings so staff can immediately see pressure status and respond onsite.
  • Scalable Network Options: Operates across enterprise configurations using UHF/900MHz and Wi-Fi; supports WPA2 Enterprise and common networking environments; sensors enable OTA firmware updates and BLE for simplified setup.
  • Integration & Enterprise Visibility: Centralized software aggregates sensor data across departments, enables grouping by department or room, supports bulk configuration, and integrates with Active Directory for role-based notification routing.
  • Reliability & Maintenance: NIST-traceable calibration services are available; sensors are designed for multi-year battery life with low-battery alerts and field configurability to minimize service calls.
  • Use Cases & Locations: Commonly deployed in negative-pressure isolation rooms, operating rooms, sterile processing areas, pharmacies, and blood banks to reduce airborne contagion spread and protect sterile environments.
