NovAtel® SPAN® Marine Profile is a GNSS receiver firmware enhancement designed to improve navigation performance in challenging marine environments. It combines GNSS data with inertial measurements to deliver continuous and accurate position, velocity, and attitude—even during extended GNSS outages. The firmware uses intelligent marine dynamics logic and patented Antenna Phase Windup technology to maintain reliable navigation. SPAN Marine Profile is compatible with all SPAN-supported Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) and complements the SPAN Heave Solution for wave motion compensation.
