MSC scFLOW is a state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) package designed to solve complex problems with remarkably short runtimes. Utilizing a polyhedral mesh, it offers general-purpose capabilities and multiphysics analysis. Through co-simulation and chained simulations, scFLOW can be coupled with other MSC Software products like Marc, Nastran, Adams, and Actran to achieve more realistic multidisciplinary analyses involving fluid, structure, acoustics, and multibody dynamics. Key features include polyhedral meshing, free surface simulation (steady-state/transient), moving mesh capabilities (discontinuous/overset mesh), 6-Degree-of-Freedom motion, prediction of cavitation and similar issues, evaporation and condensation modeling, discrete element method (DEM), and a thermoregulation model (JOS). The software aims to make powerful problem-solving accessible through flexible licensing schemes like the MSC One token system.
