MaxRT

MaxRT is IntervalZero’s next-generation real-time platform that unifies the capabilities of RTX64 and KINGSTAR into a modular, scalable suite for industrial control systems (ICS). It enables developers to build real-time applications once and deploy them across Windows, Linux, and eventually ARM platforms. MaxRT is designed to support the digital transformation of machine controllers by replacing proprietary systems with open, standard PC-based solutions.

Features

  • Unified Platform: Combines RTX64’s real-time capabilities with KINGSTAR’s automation tools.
  • Cross-Platform Deployment: Supports Windows today, with Linux and ARM support planned.
  • Real-Time Performance: Deterministic execution with sub-microsecond latency.
  • Modular Architecture: Offers flexibility through three product variants—wRTOS, eRTOS, and vRTOS.
  • Open Standards: Built on standard PC hardware and software tools (e.g., Visual Studio, C++).
  • Remote Management: Supports remote development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Plug & Play Integration: Compatible with IoT, cloud services, and third-party systems.

Capabilities

  • MaxRT wRTOS: Successor to RTX64, delivering real-time performance on Windows (launching 2025).
  • MaxRT eRTOS: Standalone RTOS for headless, embedded systems with SMP and 64-bit support.
  • MaxRT vRTOS: Real-time hypervisor enabling secure, virtualized environments with GPOS front ends.
  • Scalability: Supports up to 64 real-time processors with symmetric multiprocessing.
  • IT/OT Convergence: Seamlessly integrates operational technology with enterprise IT systems.

Benefits

  • Develop Once, Deploy Anywhere: Reduces development time and increases flexibility.
  • Cost Reduction: Eliminates the need for proprietary hardware and simplifies inventory.
  • Enhanced Cybersecurity: Especially with vRTOS, which isolates real-time and general-purpose environments.
  • Future-Proofing: Designed to evolve with industry needs, supporting new platforms and standards.
  • Improved Efficiency: Enables software-based upgrades and better utilization of multi-core systems.
