The system offers anonymous tip submissions via a fully anonymous app, web, or phone. It allows users to attach multimedia like photos and screenshots, and features a two-way chat with incident response specialists to gather further information and drive actionable outcomes. The solution also provides students with self-serve access to a library of resources on various topics and direct connection to crisis counselors. An expert Incident Response Center operates 24/7/365, with certified specialists monitoring, managing, and notifying officials and 911 when necessary. For life-threatening situations, specialists alert assigned officials via escalation email, text, and phone calls. Lightspeed StopIt includes comprehensive documentation and reporting capabilities, allowing for case and trend analysis by topic and school, ensuring compliance with organizational, state, and federal policies. The system is preloaded with links to crisis helplines and resources, which are configurable and can be localized. Notably, it integrates with Crisis Text Line™, offering 24/7 immediate access to trained mental health counselors directly through the STOPit mobile app. Team communication features facilitate information sharing and dialogue among assigned team members to coordinate responses, ensuring transparent and timely communication. The two-way messenger allows assigned team members and law enforcement to communicate with the tip submitter to gather more details. The system also includes features to block inappropriate media uploaded in a tip, either by the tipster or by incident response specialists. Powerful reporting tools provide standard and customizable data outputs on tip types, timing, and other relevant metrics. The system is designed to be always on, with a help center operational 24/7/365, and supports emergency management by connecting staff and external resources like law enforcement.
