Instead of a single one-size-fits-all product, Sassafras now offers three distinct solutions, built on the same core technology, to resolve many broad-based and narrowly-defined IT Asset Management challenges.

LabSight

For computer labs in an education environment, LabSight provides dynamic insight into hardware and software inventory and usage. Highly automated, with Active Directory integration and product normalization, you can get comprehensive statistics about your entire IT estate with very little set-up time required. Our cloud-based product recognition service takes a vast array of raw program data and compiles it into a detailed product inventory. Hardware usage is tracked by default, and software usage tracking is enabled with a single click for products of interest.

Components

Whichever product you choose —KeySight, LabSight, and AllSight—you will use the same basic components. The server, KeyServer, includes a fully integrated database as well as a web server. This means you won’t have to deal with configuration or expense of additional systems and licenses. Your endpoints will run our client, KeyAccess. It is lightweight and virtually invisible, while communicating hardware details, login events, and software usage to the server. Most of your day to day configuration and reporting will happen in the web UI of the server, but when you need advanced configuration, use our admin console, KeyConfigure. This gives you the tools you need to import purchase data, set up license management policies, and edit fine grained admin access. Together, these fundamental components form the Sassafras KeyServer Platform. The specific licensed product will enable or disable specific features for that product.
