Overview

Chelsio’s iSCSI Target Software provides a high-performance, hardware-assisted iSCSI target implementation that offloads SCSI/iSCSI processing to Chelsio Unified Wire adapters. It enables standard Linux/FreeBSD targets to deliver significantly higher IOPS, lower latency, and reduced CPU utilization for SAN and storage-dense workloads, supporting enterprise-scale block storage and virtualized deployments.

Features and Capabilities

• Performance & Offload: Full iSCSI target offload to Chelsio adapters, dramatically increasing IOPS and lowering CPU load compared to pure software targets; ideal for 10/25/40/50/100GbE deployments.
• Protocol Support: Supports standard iSCSI target semantics and integrates with common kernel targets (LIO/SCST) to present block LUNs over Ethernet.
• Platform Compatibility: Available for Linux and FreeBSD target platforms; packaged with Chelsio Unified Wire driver bundles and legacy download installers.
