INSOMNIAC® SmartLock is an electronic locking solution designed to automate access control for self-storage facilities. It empowers tenants with convenient unit access while reducing the burden on facility staff by eliminating manual lock checks and lost keys. The system automates access for vacant and delinquent units, streamlining operations from move-in to move-out. The SmartLock R and O models are retrofittable onto existing hasps, while the SmartLock S replaces them entirely. Built for extreme security and durability, the locks are IP56 rated, resistant to drilling and tampering, and can withstand severe weather conditions, operating in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. They feature extended battery life, with standard AA batteries lasting over 6 years, and include power redundancies to prevent lockouts. The tamper-resistant design with built-in alarms and remote visibility via the IoE Control Center helps prevent unauthorized access and break-ins. SmartLocks operate on a self-healing wireless network with data encryption for system integrity and customer data protection.
