Product details

Infratest Laser Pack is a specialized module within the INFRATEST® software suite developed by HGH Infrared Systems. It is designed to test and qualify laser rangefinders and laser pointers, addressing the challenges of working with laser beams and optical axes across various wavelengths. The module supports all laser types, including eye-safe lasers, and provides precise measurements of laser energy, beam divergence, and alignment with visible and infrared sighting axes.

Features

  • Laser Energy Measurement:
    • Uses a Joulemeter installed in front of the transmitter aperture to measure laser energy output.
  • Beam Divergence Analysis:
    • Beam analyzing camera captures the laser profile.
    • Generates a 3D map of the beam.
    • Calculates horizontal and vertical divergence.
  • Distance Measurement Accuracy:
    • Compares the measured distance from the laser rangefinder (LRF) with a simulated known distance.
    • Uses an optical module to collect the laser beam and transfer it into a distance simulating device (calibrated fiber optic or time delay generator).
  • Multiple Axis Alignment:
    • Boresighting between transmitter and visible or infrared sighting axis.
  • Two methods: - Laser shot toward a photosensitive or thermal target. - Comparison of the resulting image with the camera axis.
    • Laser shot toward beam analyzing camera and comparison of laser impact with sighting axis.
  • Harmonization Module Integration:
    • Enables precise location of sighting axis using beam analyzing camera.
    • Supports exclusive alignment functions with high intrinsic accuracy (20 µrad).

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Laser Testing: Covers all critical parameters for laser rangefinders and pointers.
  • High Precision: Accurate measurement of energy, divergence, and alignment ensures reliable performance validation.
  • Universal Compatibility: Supports all laser types, including eye-safe variants.
  • Advanced Alignment Tools: Enables precise boresighting with visible and infrared sighting axes.
  • Real-Time Analysis: Immediate feedback through live data visualization and 3D mapping.
  • Modular Integration: Seamlessly integrates with other Infratest packages and HGH hardware.
  • Optimized for R&D and Maintenance: Suitable for both development labs and operational environments.
