Horizon CMS is a modern, secure, cloud-based platform designed for large-scale wind turbine condition monitoring. It is built to be multi-brand and sensor hardware agnostic, scaling from a few turbines to thousands. The platform unifies diverse sensor data, including vibration, SCADA, and oil sensors, from various hardware brands like TCM, BKV, Bently Nevada, Bachmann, SKF, ecoCMS, and SMP. At its core is Kaleidoscope™ AI, a drivetrain fault detection technology that provides early detection with a low false alarm rate, offering predictive performance and intuitive diagnostic hints. This AI technology includes a Sensor Health Model to highlight data outages and filter out bad measurements, and self-calibrating Classifiers trained on fault signatures to identify failure modes. Kaleidoscope™ AI Indicators provide easy-to-understand failure mode indicators with built-in site statistics for severity assessment. The system drastically reduces alarm complexity compared to traditional CMS systems by using fewer alarm mechanisms while achieving complete failure mode coverage. Horizon CMS offers an advanced diagnostic toolbox with streamlined workflows for alarm management, diagnostic analysis, case handling, and reporting. It rapidly converts raw waveforms into meaningful 3D waterfall plots or spectrograms for clear visualization of fault signatures, supported by an extensive kinematic library and an advanced cursor system for enhanced detection accuracy. The platform includes powerful, built-in case management and reporting tools for seamless integration into daily monitoring operations, allowing users to register, track, save, and recall plots for fault progression, generate maintenance recommendations, and create comprehensive reports. The case browser offers a fleet-wide overview, advanced data filtering, and KPI tracking. Horizon CMS can be customized with features like a favorites system, dark mode, alarm notification emails, and saved plot transformations, with advanced options for defining custom failure indicators and adjusting alarm thresholds. It supports various operational contexts, including SCADA data for insights into performance states and error codes, and non-vibration drivetrain monitoring using SCADA or oil debris sensors for limited coverage. Auxiliary sensor data streams enhance severity tracking and provide additional warning mechanisms, while SCADA-based outlier detection extends monitoring scope to components like cooling systems and pitch motors. Horizon CMS is available as a complete out-of-the-box solution or can be customized to specific needs, supporting self-performing sites for daily monitoring, shadow monitoring for warranty and full-scope service agreements to provide independent assessments, and End-of-Warranty (EoW) health checks to maximize claim potential by identifying drivetrain issues early. The software can be purchased for asset owners with in-house CMS engineers, offering the same advanced tools used by SkySpecs' own monitoring team.
