Product details
Overview FLOW Ultimate Production Nodes are dedicated, scalable worker servers that extend the FLOW media management platform by offloading resource-intensive tasks from the primary FLOW database. Built on a microservices architecture and offered in multiple performance tiers, production nodes let teams add processing capacity (Starter → Pro → Elite) exactly where it’s needed to speed up transcoding, ingest, AI analysis and other background jobs while keeping the core system responsive. They support a modular expansion model so facilities can scale parallel processing power without disrupting active workflows.
Features and Capabilities
- Purpose: Designed to offload processing-intensive tasks from the main FLOW database so editors and services remain responsive.
- Architecture: Microservices-based production nodes enable modular, parallel processing and non-disruptive scaling.
- Tiered SKUs: Available in multiple sizes (Starter, Pro, Elite) to fit small teams through enterprise workloads.
- Processing types: Handles CPU/GPU jobs such as transcoding, proxy generation, AI-powered analysis (transcription, shot detection, facial/object recognition), and other background tasks.
- Scalability: Add worker nodes to increase parallel processing capacity and throughput as demands grow.
- High availability: Designed to reduce load on the central database and improve system resiliency for production environments.
- Integration: Works with FLOW media management features (ingest, metadata, NLE integrations) and with third-party tools via APIs.
- Use cases: Real-time proxy creation on ingest, large batch transcodes, AI metadata extraction, automated workflows and cloud/hybrid deployments.
- Hardware platform: NODE product family is offered as pre-configured, certified nodes with enterprise-class configurations.
- Operational benefit: Frees core systems for front-line user tasks, reduces wait times, and allows creative teams to meet tight deadlines with smoother throughput.
