ESGx BenchmarksMeasurabl

Provides global, granular, and timely ESG benchmarking data for real estate, enabling performance assessment and risk management.

Product details

Measurabl's ESGx Benchmarks offer unparalleled depth and breadth in measured energy usage and carbon emissions intensity for the real estate sector. This platform enables global comparative performance assessment across various property types and geographies, leveraging actual meter-level data. It provides critical insights for real estate owners, operators, investors, and lenders to understand and manage sustainability performance risks and opportunities. ESGx Benchmarks are derived from Measurabl Quantum, a vast repository of aggregated real estate data, encompassing 110k assets across 93 countries. The benchmarks are granular, produced on multiple geographic tiers and property types, and complete, covering whole building energy consumption and derived carbon, including tenant spaces. They are updated monthly with the most recent utility data and offer transparent benchmarking metrics and historical data from 2018 onward. The platform calculates annual energy use intensity (EUI) and annual carbon emissions intensity (CEI) by aggregating monthly energy usage and applying location-based emissions factors. Data quality specifications filter for outliers and require measured utility data, adequate coverage, and tenant and electric meters. Benchmarking cohorts are created at granular property and location levels, ensuring data anonymity and sufficient distribution sizes.
