What does the Document Extractor do?

Document Extractor monitors documents related to Salesforce accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, quotes, contracts, orders, assets, and email messages, and creates the appropriate folder structure in SharePoint.

After you upload a file to Salesforce, it is detected by the service running in the background, which uploads a copy of the uploaded file in SharePoint. Next, a hyperlink pointing to that SharePoint location is created in Salesforce. The original file in Salesforce is deleted to save you cloud storage costs.

By storing the documents in SharePoint, you enhance productivity capabilities with versioning, collaboration, the ability to work on the document directly in SharePoint, and other document management features which are automatically updated in Salesforce.

Document Extractor communicates via APIs and increasing your Salesforce user productivity, as it is not embedded in Salesforce which substantially slows loading times, costing your organization additional time for each loaded document.
