Scheduling Templates for All Practice Groups
When you often repeat workflow steps to handle similar types of matters, scheduling templates are an efficient way to track critical dates and deadlines. BEC Docket’s scheduling templates are available for all practice groups and can be saved at the workgroup level or can be personal to one user. With a template, an entire set of related activities and tasks can be scheduled in one step, with appropriate date offsets and dependent relationships (when an appointment is re-scheduled, its children automatically follow suit.) Templates include default recipients and attachments, reducing the time it takes to get something on the calendar accurately. The use of scheduling templates will improve your matter management and workflow. When related tasks have been scheduled together, it is easy to see at a glance the tasks which have been completed and exactly what still needs to be accomplished. A practice group can develop a template for each type of matter it handles regularly. Docket templates are easy to create, maintain and access. Use them to improve your overall client service.
CalendarRules Integration
For Litigation practice groups, templates can be combined with court rule automation, provided by CalendarRules. CalendarRules maintains court rules for many courts all around the United States. They make them available to your firm by subscription and send the information over the internet directly to BEC Docket.
Multiple Matter Scheduling
The Multiple Matter Scheduling feature provides the ability to maintain schedule information on a Parent Matter and multiple Child Matters simultaneously. Multiple Matter Scheduling simplifies scheduling for any situation where your firm represents multiple parties in the same case, or your firm represents a party in a case where there are multiple parties on the opposing side.
Court Notice Integrations
Docket Enterprise is integrated with two prominent providers of electronic court data, PacerPro and UniCourt. On an ongoing basis, court-provided updates are shown in the Docket Enterprise UI. The Latest Updates dialog displays new information for all subscribed cases, or it can be filtered to any specific case. This NEW feature will be available in Docket Enterprise 6. For firms who use automated court notification systems, the Docket Enterprise integration is another way to capitalize on the improvements in efficiency these systems provide. Latest Updates is a place for your docketing department (or any staff member who is responsible for scheduling) to check court updates on a regular basis. From here, they can read the newest court notifications, determine if anything should be tracked in Docket Enterprise, and jump right to the scheduling tool when needed. After handling scheduling, or when no scheduling is needed, items can be “dismissed” from the list of court updates.
