Telestream ContentAgent is a file-based workflow automation product designed to streamline and accelerate media processing for post-production, broadcast, and enterprise content creation. This software-based application automates common tasks such as camera card ingest into editorial systems and the creation of various deliverables, including broadcast masters, international masters, and viewing copies. It significantly reduces manual effort and human error, freeing up creative staff for storytelling by making complex ingest, transcoding, and delivery processes accessible to non-technical personnel. At its core, ContentAgent utilizes ContentCentral, a powerful workflow software service manager that orchestrates job distribution to transcoding engines, oversees watch folders, manages job queues, and handles third-party interoperability throughout the workflow. The system integrates seamlessly with numerous third-party tools for functions like WAN acceleration, file-based quality control, motion-compensated frame rate conversion, and social media uploading. ContentAgent offers robust scalability through JobAgent, allowing for the creation of render farms with additional licenses, and can be deployed on dedicated ContentAgent Server hardware for accelerated processing of compute-intensive tasks, leveraging powerful CPUs and GPUs. Complementing ContentAgent, CardAgent is a job submission tool that empowers non-technical staff to prepare media files for processing. It automatically identifies camera cards, enables clip playback, trimming, renaming, and custom metadata addition, and can submit media locally or remotely via S3 cloud storage to a ContentAgent workflow for automated processing and delivery.
