As part of the BLUEcloud Central suite, it is accessible via a modern web browser and stores purchasing-related data centrally in SirsiDynix’s secure environment. The platform integrates with SirsiDynix Symphony’s bibliographic and item data, supporting centralized, decentralized, or hybrid purchasing models. It offers granular access controls, allowing monetary limits and authorization levels for individual users, and is built to meet the needs of both single libraries and large consortia. Developed in partnership with major library networks, BLUEcloud Acquisitions enables libraries to leverage collective purchasing power while maintaining necessary separation and checks and balances between institutions.
