Deployment on Unmanaged Devices
BlackBerry Desktop can be deployed on personally owned and non-corporate managed computers. It supports multiple employee and non-employee types, allowing your organization to extend corporate intranets and resources to more endpoints. With easy single sign-on, it provides a better user experience on personal laptops, while eliminating the need to deploy and manage a separate corporate computer.
Modern Alternative to VPN and VDI
BlackBerry Desktop enables complete business productivity across endpoints for all users. It provides access to internal resources on personal or non-corporate managed computers through a secure connection, enhancing security while eliminating the expense of VPN or VDI, complex hardware, certificates and authentication, complicated sign-in procedures or any inbound ports.
Secure Remote Connectivity from Windows or macOS
Full Business Productivity
Users have out-of-the-box, integrated desktop experience that enables them to work seamlessly and efficiently. BlackBerry® Work—as a part of BlackBerry Desktop—provides them with intuitive, anytime access to all their collaboration tools, including corporate email, calendar, contacts and document editing.
Secure Access to Intranets and Web Apps
BlackBerry® Access—as a part of BlackBerry Desktop—gives employees secure access to corporate intranets and web applications, including cloud-based applications such as Salesforce, all on their personal Windows® 10 or macOS® laptops. Employees can securely connect and access the enterprise resources they need directly from their laptops—and even multiple laptops.
Integrates with Microsoft Office
BlackBerry® Desktop easily integrates with your organization’s current investments in on-premises Microsoft® Office or Microsoft® Office 365®. It allows your employees to access their suite of familiar Microsoft Office 365 applications—from email to online document editing—from their personal or non-corporate managed computers.
End-to-end Security
BlackBerry Desktop uses Data Path Controls to securely route traffic through the firewall, and at the same time keeps intranet and any SaaS data secure and containerized. IT can also choose between flexible routing or “whitelisting” of certain URLs and Chromium® extensions for users based on individual/group needs.
Quick Onboarding and Offboarding
IT can onboard any user by providing a simple access key. After activation, the user can access all corporate resources with a single sign-on in a secure environment, separate from all personal apps. At the end of a contract, or in the event of an emergency, IT can wipe all corporate data from the device by removing the entire environment.
Bypass Existing VPN for Optimal TCO
BlackBerry Desktop provides secure remote access to WebRTC clients such as Citrix VDI out of the box without having to download any additional software and with no VPN required. It provides an enhanced experience and the same authentication requirements as an internal user without the need to change external infrastructure.
